Built to host the track and field competitions for the 2015 Toronto Pan Am Games, this sport and athletics complex was constructed to IAAF standards. A Class 1 Certified 400-metre track four throwing circles, four international standard sand-filled jump pits, dedicated pole vault and high jump areas provide the infrastructure needed to host various athletic events.

The feature grandstand houses approximately 3,000 permanent seats. During special events, the facility has expansion capacity and has accommodated as many as 12,500 spectators. Other amenities include two VIP lounges, a media centre, video scoreboard, sound system, as well as change rooms and other athlete and technical amenities. In 2015 the project received its LEED® Silver certification.
