CELEBRATING 50 YEARS OF TEAM KENAIDAN

A message from Aidan Flatley

In 1974, Ken and I started a snow plowing business to help pay our university tuition and gradually took on small projects like landscaping, fencing, and building decks. This set the stage for the journey Kenaidan has been on for the past five decades.

As I look back on those early days, I see the roots of a company that has grown and flourished, yet our business philosophy hasn’t changed – work hard, operate with integrity, and have fun.

The beginning was not without challenges, but we faced them head-on, turning obstacles into opportunities. Fueled by passion, determination, and a strong commitment to doing great work, Kenaidan began to take shape.

We knew early on that building a strong company requires investing in the right people. A culture of collaboration emerged, where every team member played a crucial role in shaping our identity. For this, I extend a heartfelt thank you to our dedicated Team Kenaidan employees, partners, clients, trades, and suppliers who have contributed to Kenaidan’s success.

In 2011, a significant milestone marked our path as Obayashi became our parent company. This partnership has further strengthened our capabilities and presence in the Canadian market, allowing us to continue our legacy of excellence.

As we celebrate 50 years of achievements, let’s also look forward to the exciting times ahead. The adventure continues, and I am excited to see where the next chapters take us.
